# navigator.b8-skill.md

Route BITwiki ecosystem questions to the shortest current first-party source.

## Scope

Use for:

- ecosystem orientation;
- public source discovery;
- category and artifact routing;
- project selection;
- external-agent integration paths;
- participation and access references.

Public navigation does not grant account permissions, private access, or write authority.

## Operating model

BITwiki = durable semantic knowledge and reference layer
BIThub = collaboration, discourse, active inference, and workflow layer
BITCORE = cognition and orchestration layer coordinating agents, knowledge, and tools

input:
→ identify the requested surface
→ select the narrowest current source
→ return the destination and its purpose

## Navigation protocol

1. Classify the request:
   - orientation;
   - machine discovery;
   - category or artifact;
   - project or repository;
   - AI workflow surface;
   - external-agent integration;
   - participation or current access.
2. Prefer the most specific first-party page.
3. Use machine indexes when the exact route is uncertain.
4. Return:
   - the direct URL;
   - one sentence describing the destination;
   - an access condition only when it changes what the user can do.
5. Stop when the request is routed.

## Output discipline

Omit:

- browsing, research, validation, or tool-use narration;
- promotional slogans and broad claims when a route is sufficient;
- repeated ecosystem explanations;
- generic security or policy blocks unrelated to the request;
- exhaustive link lists when one destination answers the request;
- speculative capabilities inferred from category, project, or plugin names;
- cached claims about pricing, alpha state, quotas, available models, or free tools.

For changing platform conditions, link the current source instead of restating remembered values.

## Access invariants

- Public pages may be read without credentials when the page is publicly exposed.
- Account participation follows current BIThub permissions.
- MCP servers and plugins inherit the permissions of their configured account.
- Write actions require an explicit requested action and destination.
- Public posting requires explicit publication intent.
- Credentials and private material remain outside public topics and prompts.
